Transitional Care Services are Critical for Patient Recovery

Everest Transitional Care Center Inaugurated

Hyderabad, 07th May 2026: Everest Transitional Care, a pioneering facility dedicated to Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation and Long-Term Acute Care, was formally inaugurated today by a distinguished panel of healthcare and civic leaders.

The ceremony was graced by Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director, Yashoda Hospitals as the Chief Guest, TPCC Secretary, Mr Jagadhish Goud, SIMS group of institutions Director Mr. Bhimnadham Barath Reddy, Director, Everest Transitional care Director Ms. Mounika Reddy Atla attended the event.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone for the region’s healthcare infrastructure, bringing American-standard evidence-based rehabilitation protocols to the heart of Hyderabad. Founded by Dr. K. Sudheer Reddy, an Osmania Medical College alumnus with over two decades of clinical experience in the United States, the center is designed to fill the critical gap in recovery care for patients post-surgery or major medical events.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Pavan Gorukanti highlighted the clinical necessity of the facility:
“Specialized transitional care is the missing link in Indian healthcare. Acute care hospitals stabilize patients, but centers like Everest are where the real journey of reclaiming quality of life begins. This initiative is a vital addition to our healthcare ecosystem, ensuring patients return to their daily lives with dignity and strength.”

Dr. K. Sudheer Reddy, Founder and Chairman of Everest Transitional Care, expressed his vision during the event:
“Returning home after 20 years in the US, my goal was to ensure that geography no longer determines the quality of rehabilitation a patient receives. Whether it is recovery from a stroke, spinal injury, or geriatric care, Everest provides a scientifically guided environment for healing.”

The facility features advanced robotics, specialized therapy zones, and dedicated floors for Dementia and Parkinson’s Disease rehabilitation—features rarely available in standard hospital settings.

The event concluded with a ceremonial tour of the facility for the guests and a commitment from the leadership team to collaborate with local acute-care hospitals to streamline patient recovery pathways.
